Corporate Guarding

At the cutting edge of corporate industry, first impressions are key and your visitors will form their first impression from the behaviour and appearance of the first person they encounter, which is often the security officer. All Protea Security Officers have been trained and inducted to reflect the style and ‘voice’ of your business or organisation. From high profile, high visibility uniformed officers to approachable customer service personnel. Appearance is not everything. Safety and protection from an ever increasing number of potential threats to your employees and premises is a growing problem. The role and responsibility of a Protea Security Officer will be customised to meet your specific security requirements.

The contractual agreement may require additional assignments and instructions to be undertaken. The duty Officer may undertake these additional tasks, but security must not be compromised.

The additional services may include; first aid, health & safety, monitoring of keys, logging of data and post room duties. You can rest assured that premises in the care of Protea Security Officers will receive more than just a cursory once-over. All Officers are dedicated to maintaining the high standards already offered by Protea Security and are trained to the relevant Security Industry Authority and British Standards.

In a modern-day society where crime is ever on the increase and Police resources are stretched to the limit the Police Service in general cannot afford the time to investigate crimes committed in and around the workplace or to regularly patrol the property of individuals or Companies. With the exception of very serious cases, internal crime within a company is very often not regarded as a Police matter and is left to the company’s administration to manage. The company operations manager is expected to be responsible for securing and protecting the premises, this responsibility can be delegated to Protea Security saving the business thousands of pounds in both the long and short term.

Detailed below is a list of possible scenarios where the deployment of Protea Security Officers could alleviate and prevent crime occurring within the workplace.

  • Internal Theft and Pilferage. Serious internal pilferage not only eats away a company’s profits by making it less competitive in the market place, it also results in late deliveries and loss of orders.
  • Arson and Fire Damage. A serious fire, whether started deliberately or by accident can result in the closure of a company.
  • Vandalism. Acts of vandalism can also have a devastating effect on business.
  • Industrial Espionage. In an ever-competitive world, industrial espionage is employed by unscrupulous competitors to gain insight and a competitive edge on a Company’s affairs.

Security Officers can therefore assist client management in both the prevention of crime and the detection of offenders committing those crimes.
